Hiking Gear: Water Bottle |

Anytime a person goes hiking, it's important to have a water bottle at hand. This is one of the most important types of hiking gear. I learned the hard way. I went hiking up a mountain with my friend. Fortunately, the mountain wasn't too far off from the city. I thought it was going to be a brief little walk up and down the mountain. Boy was I wrong.
I didn't bring a water bottle with me. I thought I'd be fine from all the water I drank in the morning. We began our leisurely hike. I appreciated the gorgeous flora and fauna around us. I even stopped to look at the plants. Soon, minutes turned into hours and our leisurely hike became somewhat of a sport. It turned out that we took a wrong turn. I was incredibly thirsty at that point. It hit me so suddenly. One moment I was fine and then I became absolutely delirious. I needed water. Fast. Fortunately, my friend was good enough to allow me to have what little water she had left. My friend was smart and always prepared and even had her hiking gear with her. I will be forever grateful for her action because I'm sure I would have fainted and been delirious. She also had a first aid kit in her hiking gear, just in case. Fortunately, we found our way back soon after. When we reached home, the first thing I did was purchase my own water bottle at a hiking gear store. A water bottle may be the most important form of hiking gear out there. The lesson learned? No matter how long you plan on hiking, always bring water!
