Camping Gear and the Grand Canyon |

The Grand Canyon is one of the most breathtaking places in the world. I've been there a few times and I was able to visit locations, such as Cathedral Stairs, Hermit Rapids, Santa Maria Springs, Travertine Canyon, Hermit Rapids, Tonto Trail, Granit Rapids, and Monument Creek. Each individual spot had its own beauty.
When we went to the Grand Canyon, we definitely had to have our camping gear. We carried backpacks of camping gear with weights of 30 to 50 pounds over rock terrain. Other camping gear included cooking gear, first aid kits and water filters. More camping gear included tents, sleeping bags, outerwear and personal items. Our hiking boots had to be broken in order to conquer the rough landscape. Along with camping gear, we had to bring quick foods, like energy bars, bagels, salami, trail mix and other salty snacks. We also brought at least 4 liters of water with us for each trip that lasted around two days.
The trip was certainly worth it. Being prepared is a necessary aspect when hiking the Grand Canyon. Each and every time I've visited has been a reminder of how small we are compared to the earth itself.
