I completely and utterly love Hawaii. It is absolutely my favorite place in the world. I am fortunate to have relatives in Hawaii who I can stay with. However, there's nothing like camping on the beaches of Hawaii, especially the beautiful and romantic island of Kauai.

Salt Pond Beach is one place where campers go to bask in the glorious beauty of nature and the rolling waves. There's nothing like waking up to see the gorgeous Hawaiian sunrise and staying up to see the sun set into the ocean. I make sure to bring adequate camping gear for Hawaii. Most importantly, I bring a tent. I love having the privacy of a tent, so this is a vital part of my camping gear. Other camping gear items that I bring are first-aid kits, portable cooking items and more. Even though it's the beach, it's great to be prepared for anything.

The great thing about Salt Pond is that there are shops that you can walk to. It can be quite the walk, but you can still venture off and find food or other items that you may need.

Camping on the beach is an experience that every avid camper should try.
