The Lure of Deep Sea Fishing |

I have never had the opportunity to go Deep Sea Fishing but boy does it look fun. My old roommate goes on this trip to northern Canada with his dad every year for some serious fishing. They aren’t Deep Sea Fishing but are on massive glacial lakes on board a medium sized boat hunting for some big, scaly game. I imagine this sort of fishing to be on par with doing it in the ocean because both call for thick lines, strong rods and much time devoted to reeling a large catch in. That’s what interests me the most. Fishing for small carp or trout are relatively easy to reel in after a good hook. They just aren’t strong enough to put up a lasting fight.
<--Marlin Wins Battle
Deep Sea Fishing is a whole different story. Some of the videos I have seen show anglers battling it out with a Marlin for hours before the fish gets exhausted and gives up. I think this kind of fight would really make for a memorable experience. It gives the fish a chance to break the line and escape and the fisherman a chance to feed the whole family. Someone is going to win. The competition of it all is what draws me to Deep Sea Fishing.
